To create their new collaborative book project, “Dialogues: 36 Photographs & 20 Poems,” the photographers Aaron Stern (who has contributed music photography to T online) and Jordan Sullivan set out to combine images and poems that interact on a subtler level than simply representing the same idea both visually and with language. Rather, the photos (culled from photographers including Alain Laboile, Ed van der Elsken and Mark Borthwick) and the poems (chosen by the poets Will Schutt and Tom Sleigh) exist, as the title suggests, in conversation.

“Dialogues: 36 Photographs & 20 Poems,” $30, will be available March 1 via Stern and Sullivan’s curatorial and publishing project, 205A, at icp.org.
